Under the Supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Parts Specialist/Hot Shot Driver will perform the activities described below related to the purchasing and warehousing of materials and supplies required to support the mining and processing operations at the U. S. Silica Central Warehouse, Crane and Lamesa. Responsible for maintaining inventory levels, bin locations within warehouse and point of usage locations. Responsible for quarterly inventory audits (cycle counts) adding new parts to stock to JDE. Running weekly issue out reports to managers, maintaining 5S standards within stores. Acts as lead person to receiving clerk. Works closely with Stores to reduce cost and make sure inventory is not duplicated.

Essential Job Functions:

• Receive inbound freight, including truck and package deliveries, inspect condition of received goods to ensure shipments are received in good condition
• Unload truck shipments and bring into warehouse using appropriate equipment, identify, tag and put away goods at designated locations, ensure correct locations are entered/maintained within JDE.
• Match packing list, BOL and Purchase order number are correct and turn in for receiving, note and address any discrepancies
• Assign parts to JDE Maintenance work orders or to stock
• Ship outbound freight including truck and package shipments, consolidate, palletize, crate or box as required, complete required shipping documents to complete shipment, load outbound shipments using appropriate equipment.
• Using JDE, print Maintenance work orders, pull parts and driving them to Lamesa or Crane when needed, consolidate and stage for scheduled work orders.
• Notify Supervisor of any issues or shortages regarding part availability for work orders.

• Purchase/Pickup goods from local suppliers, including fueling company vehicles as needed, includes stock, safety and housekeeping items.

• Maintain 5S warehouse utilizing pre-established standards, organize and store parts, utilize horizontal and vertical spaces effectively.
• Properly label parts and locations and entered bin locations within JDE.
• Conduct cycle counts as established for Central Warehouse, Lamesa and Crane plants.
• Print and complete inventory counts and turn in completed count sheets to Purchasing, address and reconcile differences, implement corrective action for discrepancies.
• Maintain specified stocking levels for assigned parts, complete purchase requisitions for assigned parts, track assigned purchase orders, follow-up and expedite where required.
• Deliver parts requests to sites and provide on-call support to locations.
• Provide available on-call support on designated weekends/after hours for emergency parts requests. 
• Load, secure and deliver mechanical and electrical components to US Silica locations
• Additional duties as assigned. 

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Associate degree (preferred)
• Must have valid Diver License 
• Basic Mathematical principles
• Warehouse and inventory methods, controls and procedures
• Working understanding of purchasing practices and terminology
• Run reports, print work orders, maintain warehouse bin locations within JDE
• Perform physical labor required in the receipt, storage and issuance of parts and supplies
• Maintain detailed and accurate records within JDE and additional record keeping forms as required
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Establish and maintain helpful, friendly and cooperative working relationships with co-workers, superiors and suppliers.
