Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the Program Director, you will have oversight of and be responsible for coordinating and managing the overall assigned residential program(s) in relation to individuals with developmental disabilities (IDD). The Program Director will have previous experience supervising staff and working with people with disabilities and challenging behaviors, as well as those requiring crisis management and behavioral interventions. This position is a mixture of both supervisory and direct care duties.
Caseload will be distributed throughout the Wisconsin Dells, Madison, or Janesville areas, supervising High Acuity or Traditional DD/IDD programs.
Personnel management and program coordination, including but not limited to ensuring that staff complete orientation and ongoing training
Monitor all aspects of the programs, including but not limited to program implementation and development of individual goals and plans
Facilitate coordination and management of the overall operations
Oversee medical, financial, and maintenance aspects of the programs
HOURS:
Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to be on-call when needed (this includes weekends and odd hours)
Qualifications
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science or related field
A minimum of 2 years managerial/supervisory experience, including hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees
At least 1 year of full-time, direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities
Must demonstrate good decision-making, time management and communication skills, and be responsible, mature, and flexible
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Reliable vehicle with auto liability insurance
