Main Function:
Provides clinical pediatric services and associated administrative and on-call services to UR Medicine's Canandaigua Medical Group pediatric patients.
• Provides consistent, high quality, evidence-based care, as per accepted national and/or local standards.
• Leads office staff in development and performance of efficient office practices.
• Liaisons with practice management and hospital administration on behalf of the practice.
• Liaisons with staff on behalf of practice management and hospital administration.
• Fosters a cohesive Thompson identity.
• Assures regulatory compliance.
• Provides patient management and practice leadership that unifies practice goals and health system goals.
• Always acts in the patient’s best interest.
• Assists the health system in meeting strategic goals.

. • Responsible for ensuring all professional licenses, registrations, liability insurance education and renewal requirements and applicable physician certifications are up to date and current as required for employment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Unrestricted NYS medical license with current registration required.
• DEA license required.
• Board-certified in Pediatrics required. Board-eligibility within the first three years of graduation from an ACGME-approved Pediatrics residency program acceptable.
• Able to gain appropriate FFTH Medical Staff privileges.
• Acceptable professional liability insurance experience such that physician is acceptable for malpractice insurance by FFTH’s malpractice carrier without surcharge.
Education:
• MD or DO degree required, or MBBS or other such equivalent.
• Completion of ACGME accredited residency in Pediatrics required.
• Meets continuing education requirements of the American Board of Pediatricians for maintenance of certification required.
Experience:
• Three years post-graduate residency training in Pediatrics or completion of other ACGME accredited residency program leading to Board Certification in pediatrics – required.
Pay Range:$175,000 - $275,000
Starting Pay:Based on Experience
