Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing transportation processes to enhance efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of transportation logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance and day to day support for our 5-7 truck drivers, including recruitment, performance management, and retention
  • Responsible for executing routing and planning for outgoing truck routes in an effective and efficient manner
  • Monitor all trucks throughout the day using our ELD program and ensure drivers are following the established routes
  • Record and compile weekly activity to support payroll processing of driver’s compensation
  • Report to Warehouse Manager any issues with trucks, routes or drivers for immediate resolution
  • Schedule commons for customer deliveries when required
  • Secure backloads when asked to increase truck efficiency and reduce transportation costs
  • Maintain and QA check within our ERP system all logistics related paperwork, then scan and file
  • Work with shipping and receiving team to optimize transport whenever possible by consolidating orders across product divisions onto Studco Trucks and routes
  • Support Logistics team with daily warehouse activities as needed
  • Any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
  • Other task miscellaneous tasks as requested

Preferred Knowledge

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstance
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices a plus
