Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton in Milton, MA. This position will report to the General Manager and be a key part in overseeing food production and retail operations. In this role you will work approximately 6am - 3pm, and will need the flexibility to work occassinal evening shifts till 7:30pm as well as rotating weekend coverage once a month.
At Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton, you are eligible for free onsite parking and one meal for free during your shift.
The successful candidate will:
- lead a team of hourly hospital employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring daily operations in the kitchen and cafeteria
- oversee catering deliveries and set ups and assist with ordering as needed.
- motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline staff members.
- utilize Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and use of catering and retail programs to promote Sodexo initiatives while driving revenue

- previous food service (restaurant, hospitality) and/or healthcare experience
- working knowledge of ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs.

- have a background in safety and sanitation compliance
