Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team in Webster, United States. As a Cook in our organization, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

  • Prepare a variety of dishes using standard recipes and daily meal plans
  • Operate kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ensure all food meets safety guidelines and adheres to sanitation standards
  • Work efficiently on the food line during peak meal times
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations and timely food service
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and requests to ensure satisfaction
  • Assist in inventory management and food cost control
  • Participate in menu planning and development of new recipes
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers and colleagues

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in production cooking or preparing therapeutic diets preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and culinary techniques
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Current food handling and sanitation licenses or willingness to obtain them
  • Basic computer skills, including entry-level proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Ability to make independent decisions and solve practical problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Positive, friendly demeanor with a customer-focused attitude
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse kitchen environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school training is a plus
