This is a full time position, 40 hours a week, weekdays, four 10 hour shifts some holiday hours may be required.   

The Position:

The Dermatology Technician or Assistant works Collaboratively with their assigned veterinarian, other staff veterinarians, and the entire Angell Support Staff to provide Angell clientele with excellent clinical and customer service.  These services include providing veterinary assistant support in the examination room with outpatient appointments, assisting with case management of animals admitted to the hospital, assisting with procedures, communications with clients and sometimes referring veterinarians.

The Dermatology Technician or Assistant must be able to interact with all staff members and clients in a positive and dynamic manner. This role requires some knowledge of specific veterinary specialties clinical tests, procedures, protocols, medical terminology, animal handling and math skills. The dermatology technician or assistant should be able to communicate, orally and in writing, veterinary specific clinical information regarding services to our clients and other hospital staff.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 2-3 years of veterinary technician/assistant experience
  • 1 year of client service experience prefered
  • To be hired as a technician the candidate must be a Certified Veterinary Technician, CVT
  • $3500 Sign on Bonus for CVTs!
