Pay ranges from $17 to $38 depending on licensure and experience

STNA:  $17 to $22 depending on experience and licensure

LPN:  $27.5 to $31 depending on experience and licensure

RN: $32 to $38 depending on experience and licensure

The Retention/Hiring Coordinator oversees the recruiting, hiring, on-boarding and orientation process for all new team members in nursing and other departments as needed. Recruiting requires disciplined candidate prospecting behavior with a desire to drive results. The role also focuses on staff retention and promotes good team member morale. Works closely with the Staffing Coordinator on open schedules, upcoming needs to always be recruiting as an integral part of staffing.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly responsible for recruiting new team members, as well as orientation.
  • Notifies the DON, ADON, potentially the LNHA and Corporate Recruiter of trends that indicate an increase in turnover rates and challenged morale.
  • Oversees the applicant tracking systems used by the facility in conjunction with nursing leadership and the facility administrator
  • Coordinates, largely by doing, immediate follow up calls/communication with potential candidates demonstrating interest in employment and responding to ads and postings.
  • Connect by phone/text/voice within 24 hours to potential job candidates.
  • Processes applications which includes: reference checks, background checks, drug screens, physicals, license verification, all applicable releases and all other necessary and required documentation and processes.
  • Formulates interviews, on-boarding and orientation schedules for nursing staff.
  • Identifies, trains and coordinates qualified staff member for the role of preceptor with assistance and input from Nursing Leadership and perhaps Corporate Nurse Trainers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Retention/Hiring Coordinator must display excellent communication skills, particularly in negotiating situations and scenarios that could have competing viewpoints.
  • Have a communication style that is clear and calming when faced with potentially difficult situations.
  • Must establish strong organizational skills to provide consistency in the role with maintaining company policy
  • Must be disciplined to effectively manage time and multiple duties of role.
  • Must be goal oriented and driven to achieve targeted goals
