Position Overview: The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for process engineering within the plant and managing a team of Process Engineers. The role will be responsible for the plantwide process control as well as delivering plant performance and forecasts related to productivity/rate. Collaborating with the Maintenance Manager and Production Managers, the Process Engineering Manager is responsible for delivering a process continuous improvement program to increase efficiency and effectiveness of Operations.
Critical Success Factors:
Deliver improvements in productivity/rate by developing and managing systems for identifying and monitoring operational metrics to maximize facility performance (i.e. process control)
Own efforts for productivity/rate troubleshooting problems that arise to ensure budgeted production forecasts are met and process improvements are sustained
Develop, prioritize and lead process continuous improvement plans to drive improvements in rate and productivity
Provide critical Change Management review and approval for R&D, Capital Engineering, Operations and Maintenance projects
Responsibilities:
Lead team of Process Engineers by leveraging and developing their individual capabilities that will provide critical process analysis as well as complete projects that achieve business objectives
Own the use of advanced plant process data analysis and reporting techniques to drive better process control and decision making
Coordinate with R&D, Capital Engineering, Operations and Maintenance projects to ensure integrity of process-related data and provide technical interpretation of process variables
Directly involved in the design and installation stages of projects for new assets and modification of existing assets.
Maintain the highest standard of health and safety performance, with a specific focus on process safety management; lead and steward the MOC process

Advance the total safety and environmental culture. Model a high standard of environmental, health, and safety behaviors and compliance
Owns process P&ID’s and ensures updates or changes are made as appropriate
Provide technical guidance with training documentation to ensure consistent with operational changes

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from accredited College or University
At least 5 years of demonstrated process control experience used to optimize manufacturing processes in an industrial manufacturing setting
At least 5 years of experience managing a team of process engineers including the proven ability to develop employees and build teams
Project management experience
Ability to analyze complex data to identify and prioritize opportunities
Demonstrated ability to drive execution against action plans within cross functional groups
Previous experience with change management of production, technical processes, and systems
Excellent communication skills in English language, both written and verbal
Continuous improvement experience focused on using methodologies that increase efficiency and effectiveness of engineering operations within a manufacturing operation
Willingness and ability to wear a full-face respirator mask directly against skin with or without reasonable accommodation
Willingness and ability to work in a hot/high temperature production facility while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas with or without reasonable accommodation
