Job Description:
Responsible for providing supportive services to hospital Administration and Medical/ Dental/ Podiatric/AHP Staff. Assists the Medical Staff Manager in ensuring that the operation of the department is in accordance with the Medical Staff policies, Bylaws, Rules & Regulations to assure that only qualified practitioners provide care in the Hospital.
Responsibilities:
Provides support services to Hospital Administration and Medical Staff
Assist with Credentialing process
Maintain knowledge of privileging and credentialing process for medical staff members and allied health members
Process all Medical Staff and Allied Health Staff credentialing and re-credentialing applications
Maintains confidential credentials files and electronic medical staff databases
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Associate's Degree preferred
5 years Secretarial/Office experience preferred
Minimum 2 years in a Medical Affairs Department preferred
Experience in MIDAS Credentialing program preferred
