Extensive knowledge with at least on of the following vendors: Cisco, Arista, and Force10. Brocade may also be considered
Ability to gather complex network requirements to be used in creating highly resilient and scalable network designs
Proven experience with capacity planning and performance tuning of enterprise and production systems/network infrastructures
Experience in aligning systems/network infrastructure goals to organization needs
Ability to conduct in-depth research into issues and technologies as required and recommend preferred hardware and/or solutions
Must be able to document detailed design documents such as Visio diagrams, architecture definition documents, IP allocations, device descriptions and narratives describing the function of the design
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and use experience and judgment to accomplish goals
Engage with vendors to procure hardware and provision telecom WAN circuits
Must possess effective communication skills both written and verbal
Participate in weekly on call rotation for 24x7 support as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years of experience as a dedicated network engineer
CCNA or equivalent certification and experience, CCNP is a plus
Experience working in a web services environment a plus
Mastery of TCP/IP, IP Security(IPSec, SSL, TLS...), and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
Knowledge and proven experience with VMware and Linux systems
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience working with multicast streams a plus
