Position Summary
LinQuest has an immediate opening for a Senior Space Systems Engineer this position will be supporting the Space Systems Center’s Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO), for which the LinQuest team will provide integration planning across the nation security space community, ensuring the US Space Force and its mission partners are able to acquire and field space systems that work together and within the Government’s planned and existing architecture.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides technical oversight of space systems development efforts and developers who are responsible for the design, development, manufacturing, fabrication, integration, and test of space systems
- Develops, derives, and decomposes technical requirements for future development activities
- Decompose technical data into actionable information for government customer
- Support systems architecting and engineering activities such as requirements definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, integration and test, verification and validation, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis
- Some travel required by the customer
- Provide critical path analysis
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 14+ years of related experience
- Must have experience supporting technical programs throughout the engineering life cycle with an emphasis in one or more of the following areas:
- Systems engineering
- Space systems design and development
- Payload engineering
- Major systems development
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance with in-scope SSBI/T5 and have SCI eligibility. Must be willing to consent to a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
Compensation for California: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $175,000 to $200,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
