This position will support program and project management functions for the newly established technology team within Freddie Mac’s Investments and Capital Markets division. The position will assist the Director of Strategic Planning and Delivery in aligning technology activities with business objectives, and in delivering specific with defined goals/benefits/resourcing and appropriate stakeholder communication and engagement.
Responsibilities include: • Facilitate business prioritization process by maintaining a tracker of ongoing activities, and reporting on potential future activities • Align projects and activities toward I&CM Technology strategy by preparing and distributing strategy documentation, and engaging stakeholders with periodic communications • Chaperone individual activities through SDLC and other processes by identifying dependencies, coordinating with non-I&CM teams, monitoring SLAs, and rapidly escalating issues & risks • Verify compliance with SDLC processes by confirming required artifacts and communicating identified gaps • Ensure transparency to stakeholders by collecting data on success metrics, monitoring progress, generating periodic reports, and conveying issues & risks • Assist annual budgeting process including drafting annual budget request, and communicating budget results to enterprise stakeholders • Enforce fiscal discipline by developing quarterly forecasts, tracking spending against forecasts, and reconcile / explain variances
Basic Requirements • 4+ years work experience in program or project management • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience • Knowledge/experience in software development lifecycles and current industry best practices • Previous experience supporting multiple concurrent efforts/projects in various capacities
Preferred Skills • Familiarity with Freddie Mac-specific technology processes • Knowledge of fixed income products, especially mortgages and interest rate derivatives • Organized approach, with a natural inclination for strategy and tactics • Knowledge/Experience in: MS Project, Powerpoint, Visio, Excel, Word, SharePoint
