LabCorp is seeking a Case Coordinator I to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role works in a high volume, production based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science. This position performs a variety of activities in support of pathology services. This position will perform administrative/clerical and laboratory assistance on behalf of the pathology staff. This position will require direct communication with clients and laboratory staff.
Schedule: 1st, Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
** This is NOT a remote role**
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assign and distribute cases
- Monitor and manage work queues
- Coordinate consults and Send-outs
- Process internal test add-ons and liaise with the labs
- Research, trouble-shoot and follow up on client inquiries and problems
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred
- Comfortability with handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
