Job Description
Reporting to the the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will lead, encourage, support and assist, operational tasks relating to the day-to-day operations. They will respond effectively to quality control, productivity, health, and safety, both state and federal requirements. They will assist in the scheduling of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.
The goal is to ensure that operations are carried out safely and productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
What you're responsible for:
- Assisting in achieving goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to all departments.
- Organizing workflow and ensure that employees understand, their duties or delegated tasks.
- Communicating with leadership and employee to ensure productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Receiving complaints and resolve problems.
- Assist in maintaining timekeeping and personnel records along with HR and EHS teams.
- Relaying on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
- Assisting in preparing and submitting performance reports.
- Ensuring adherence to legal, federal, and state safety, legal and American Iron and Metal policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.
Qualifications
