About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a position to join our team. This role will be critical factor for production success, actively schedules and performs equipment & site maintenance to support safety and continuity of factory production. You will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance plans are current and report to the production manager the status of any piece of equipment that presents safety concerns.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with the industrial engineering team to set up new equipment in maintenance schedule.
  • Maintains logs on all completed maintenance.
  • Coordinates with third party service providers for contract maintenance jobs.
  • Participating in the established 5S facility program and supporting all requirements of ISO standards.
  • Maintains all necessary hand tools and power tools used for in house maintenance jobs.
  • Collaborates with production teams to gain insight on the performance of equipment in use.
  • Ensure production areas are kept clean and organized and presents a professional environment.
  • Support facilities manager with communication and feedback on all facility related topics.
  • Participate in production meetings to ensure maintenance schedules support company goals.
  • Participates in intra-department meetings to discuss scheduling, production, and quality issues.
  • Owns team goals and results. Promoting the goals to the team. Reporting results continuously to management to keep production targets to the forefront.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:

  • High School or GED
  • Associate degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience.

Knowledge / training:

  • Knowledge of scheduling, planning, and prioritizing techniques in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools and the safety requirements associated with each.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and local facility regulations.
  • Knowledge of PPE requirements.
  • Knowledge of the operation of equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, etc. to support operations.
  • MS Office Suite
  • Safety practices in an industrial environment.

Experience:

  • 3-5 year’s experience in maintenance functions in an industrial production environment
