Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our building design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems within various building projects. This role will involve collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure the effective integration of mechanical systems into building designs. You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Proven experience in mechanical system design for building projects.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and relevant engineering software tools.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

You Will:

  • Develop and design HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems for various building projects, considering energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into building designs, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of mechanical systems.
  • Prepare detailed design specifications, drawings, and documentation for mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Select appropriate materials and equipment for mechanical systems, considering factors such as cost, durability, and environmental impact.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure that mechanical systems are installed and commissioned correctly, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during construction.
  • Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient design principles into mechanical systems to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
  • Collaborate with cost estimators to determine the budget required for mechanical systems within the building design project.
