We are seeking a professional and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at our store located at 2495 Lincoln Highway East Unit 21 in Lancaster. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and staff management
Lead, train, and motivate team members to maintain high performance standards
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed
Handle cash transactions, deposits, and financial reporting accurately
Implement and maintain merchandising standards to optimize sales and store appearance
Assist in creating employee schedules and managing time-off requests
Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
Analyze sales data and contribute to strategies for improving store performance
Step in for the Store Manager in their absence, making key decisions as needed
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail or customer service, with supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
Excellent customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset
Proficiency in inventory management and cash handling procedures
Solid problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Computer proficiency, including experience with POS systems and scheduling software
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of retail operations and store management practices
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
