Description

The University of Washington School of Dentistry invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track position at the Associate or full Professor rank in the Department of Orthodontics. The position is full-time, with a 12-month service period. The anticipated start date is no later than July 1, 2026. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research/scholarship and service. 

The base salary range for this position will be $15,000 - $17,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include: an administrative supplement; moving expenses; relocation incentive pay; and faculty practice activity. Qualifications

The successful candidate must have completed a DDS/DMD program (or foreign equivalent) and a CODA-accredited graduate orthodontics program.  They will have at least four years of teaching experience at the predoctoral and/or graduate level.  The applicant should have a strong record of research and scholarly activity, prior administrative appointments, and a history of leadership/service at the regional and national level. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Orthodontics.

The letter should summarize your academic career, including teaching experience, research, administrative positions, and service/leadership at the regional or national levels. Also, please address your potential for career growth and interest in assuming a leadership role within the Orthodontics Department in the next few years.
