The M&A Paralegal I is responsible for providing legal support for the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. As a key team member, you will contribute to various aspects of legal tasks related to M&A transactions under the guidance of experienced professionals. This position offers the opportunity to learn and develop foundational legal skills while assisting in basic drafting, researching, and redlining legal documents. The candidate should exhibit strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and an ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
JOB Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) preferred, Associates Degree Required.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited program is a plus but not required.
- Prior paralegal experience a plus. Candidates with a passion for law and a commitment to learning are encouraged to apply.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- A collaborative mindset and an eagerness to contribute to a cohesive team.
- Experience with document management system and Salesforce preferred.
- Experience working in or with health care companies is a plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide essential support to corporate M&A attorneys, managers, and senior paralegals.
- Contribute to the preparation of basic legal documents, gaining exposure under supervision.
- Assist in the coordination of transaction closings and ensure final agreements are correctly stored in the appropriate database
- Researches routine legal issues (with clear answers – minimal interpretation needed).
- Manage legal databases and archives.
- Embrace flexibility to handle various legal tasks as needed.

Salary/ Wage Range
$24.71 - $36.30 / hour
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
