Oakwood Village has an exciting opportunity for qualified candidates to join our Prairie Ridge (East Side of Madison) senior living community facility team as a Housekeeper. Our Housekeeper is responsible for the general housekeeping duties in scheduled assigned areas. The position is crucial to creating a great living environment for residents and visitors.

The Housekeeper position has multiple shifts available with flexible starting and end times:

-Full Time, 80 hours every two weeks on the AM shift - FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE,  and WEEKEND OFF

-Great pay up to $14.50/h plus an additional $0.75 for hours worked on 2nd shift

Job Responsibilities of a Housekeeper (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)

-Responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness of campus buildings. Primary duties include mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and general cleaning.
-Responsible for sanitizing common areas, public and private bathrooms, and the overall cleaning of resident living areas. -Maintains confidentiality with reference to resident information.
-Communicate effectively with staff members; residents and family to ensure needs are met.
-Organizes materials and manages time to ensure tasks are done in a timely manner.
-Responsible for using all equipment, chemicals, and supplies according to OSHA, state, and facility guidelines.
-Responsible for adhering to the dress code and wearing a visible nametag while on the job.
-Responsible for knowing and following the policies in the Oakwood team member handbook.
-Responsible for completing departmental and general in-services training.
-Reports work orders to the appropriate department to maintain a safe working environment.


Job Qualifications of a Housekeeper (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)

-Prior housekeeping and/or home cleaning experience required.
-Willing to be cross-trained in order to fill-in at all housekeeping areas.
-Ability to carry out job responsibilities in an accurate and conscientious manner.
-Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions.
-Ability to work within established policies and procedures.
-Ability to work in a partnership environment which fosters effective teamwork in meeting the mission of Oakwood Village. -Willingness to accept a weekend and holiday work schedule.

Requirements

-Available to work a flexible schedule including  holidays and occasional overtime.

-Ability to maintain departmental quality assurance and infection control standards. 
-Willing to be cross-trained in order to fill-in at other housekeeping areas as needed.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND/OR TRAINING

-High school education or equivalency preferred.
-Prior housekeeping experience and/or training preferred.
