The  FP&A Director, Medical Group will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting across the multiple business units and create new processes that help streamline existing workflows.  This position supports all areas of the Mirion Medical business segment by collaborating with cross-functional teams on establishing and tracking progress against plan/forecast, and proactively identifying and implementing opportunities to help grow and scale the business through data analysis and modeling.  Primary responsibility will be preparing monthly reporting, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets for the Mirion Medical Group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Oversee the development of the annual budget, forecasts, and long-term financial plans for the 4 Medical business units that make up Mirion Medical.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis that explain variances from the prior year, budget or forecast.
  • Analyze business unit forecasted financial results and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Generate and present financial reports and presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with executive Medical segment leadership to align financial goals with the company's strategic plan.
  • Evaluate capital investment proposals with business unit finance professionals, such as new projects or acquisitions, to determine their financial viability.
  • Track and continue to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the company's financial and operational performance.
  • Work closely with other departments, including accounting, sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to financial planning and reporting.
  • Assist leadership team with key business improvement or business development projects through effective project plan development, project management, research, problem solving and cross-functional coordination, and other reasonable duties as may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or related roles. 5 or more years of managerial experience.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and have a deep understanding of financial statements.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting processes is critical. Must be able to create and manage budgets, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Proficiency with financial software and tools is essential.  Onestream, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and the ability to prepare and interpret financial reports is important.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to convey financial information to both finance and non-finance professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
