Job Description

How does Engagement Strategy fit in? While our Planning team inspires and refines who a brand will be in the world and the ultimate problem our customers are trying to solve, the Engagement Strategy team defines how patients & HCPs engage with the brand – How it solves patient's problems and how it supports them into the future – providing a vision and guiding system for integrated and campaigns and works with Planning, Media and Tech to make it happen.

To further accelerate this ambition, we are looking for an outstanding Director, Engagement Strategy – someone who advocates for a modern approach to connected experiences for brands; who understands consumer behavior, the context in which those behaviors happen and how to design moments of engagement that influence patient journeys.

You will understand that content is fuel for the patient journey and through data uncover the insights that develops the content patients need to help move through their journey making educated, wellness-focused decisions. They also understand that consumer experiences aren't linear and take an omni-channel approach when partnering with media agencies to distribute content across the platforms.

What you'll do:

Director, Engagement Strategy, your comprehensive media and marketing expertise will be essential to providing strategic expertise on important client engagements.

Demonstrating an intimate understanding of how consumers work with channels and technology, this important role demands a focus on how to most solve clients' challenges through an orchestrated system of paid, owned and earned touchpoints that inspires connected creativity.

Daily, your role will concentrate on guiding strategy across important accounts while delivering industry-leading service, which includes:

  • Build important business objectives by developing digital experiences through eco-systems design, channel strategy and channel tactics to inform when, where and how a brand should connect; redefine communications and lead nurturing opportunities.
  • Promote the use of data; partner with data-scientists to understand behaviors and uncover unexpected insight that inspire bold ideas for how a brand should connect
  • Analyze how consumers work with devices, platforms, content, and media, then developing experiences based behind those behaviors to give the brand purpose and relationship within a patient's life.
  • Envisioning and designing orchestrated systems of brand communications; collaborate with media planners, technologists, experience designers and creative teams to bring architectures to life
  • Building long-lasting client relationships; provide guidance on their competitive threats and evolving consumer behaviors to guide their teams toward the next generation of holistic brand experience solutions that create growth
  • Develop our future digital strategists by demonstrating how today's approaches become opportunities to evolve into tomorrow's new best practices

You will report to the Vice President, Engagement Strategy.

Qualifications

This important role requires a depth of expertise (7-10 years; min Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred), including experience impactful work experience and professional ingenuity – which means you are:

  • Digital marketing: You have the unstoppable drive to inspire teams and bring the best work to life, based on your expertise with omni-channel orchestration (including media, CRM, site and mobile)
  • Successful track record within the Pharma marketing space.
  • You are a translator with research dexterity, including several years of experience with media-centric tools such as Comscore, MRI, Google Analytics, to uncover the data and insights that inspires strategic communications implementation
  • A creative provocateur and storyteller who is endlessly curious and questioning with an ability to shift perspective and illuminate powerful insights and creative potential through data and narrative
  • A true collaborator that has worked on large-scale projects across multiple digital properties – the true dot connector
  • A manager with experience in team oversight looking to further develop their management skillset.
