The Company’s high growth Outdoor Living business manufactures beautiful outdoor shade structures and exterior cladding systems targeting the high-end residential and architectural segments through brands such as Equinox and Alumawood.  The Company is also a leading supplier of fabricated panels to the Recreational Vehicle industry which is benefitting from strong outdoor recreation and living trends.

Functional Scope

• Performs tasks listed below under the general supervision of the planning manager.
• Forecasts Raw material usages across the value chain and works closely with Sales to manage supply and demand to meet corporate inventory goals and objectives
• Prepare purchase orders and review requisitions for goods and services.
• Actively works to achieve key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning / forecasting
• Monitors inventory levels, purchase order activity and problem inventory levels on an ongoing basis
• Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods.
• Maintains and reviews Item Master and Planning Data elements.
• Works with commodity directors to keep up with the vendor updates to adjust the forecasts accordingly
• Works with commodity directors to control material releases to manage inventory levels across the enterprise
• Works in a group setting with clear and concise verbal communication and written skill
Duties and Responsibilities
• Follow integrated processes among Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and outside suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process
• Ability to set up and maintain the MRP process in Oracle to establish Forecasts, Store Sizes, Safety Stocks, and Purchase Orders to streamline the Planning process
• Perform data analysis using Oracle database and/Data warehouse using appropriate tools and publish reports
• Create item specific forecasts over a rolling time horizon to guide PO requirements and overall inventory management
• Ability to create a material requirement plan and/or forecast.
• Establish and maintain KPI’s
• Participate in S&OP process

Education and Experience Requirements

• 4 to 6 years experience in a planning/purchasing role within a production/distribution environment
• Understanding of ERP/MRP systems required.
• Four-year degree from and accredited college or university required. Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing,      Business, or related degrees preferred
• APICS CPIM certification a plus
• Detail oriented with exceptional organization skills
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to navigate in a windows based computer environment with experience in Excel and Word
