Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine packaging requirements, to identify and expedite overdue packaging, and to track packaging
  • Requisitions packaging and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities, and packaging availability based on MRP system
  • Reconcile discrepancies between invoice and purchase order
  • Reviews inventory levels and issues/modifies orders for stock replenishment balancing low inventory cost with high customer service capabilities.
  • Order Reports: Review and maintain reports of past due and non-confirmed purchase orders.
  • Debit Memos: Process debit memos and assist in clearing out the rejected items, by working in conjunction with Quality Intuitive experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Supply Availability: Enter, confirm, and expedite purchase orders, as needed.
  • Supports departmental goals for inventory dollars, inventory turns, cost reductions, and excess inventory reductions.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain file system for purchase orders and correspondence. Maintain a hard copy file system for debit memos, ISO certificates, order acknowledgements, purchase orders, Certificates of Liability Insurance, and RFQ documents
  • Performs all other assignments as required

Required Skills or Abilities:

  • SAP experience required, specifically, but not limited to the following transactions
    • MD04
  • Create, maintain and use excel and excel calculation to manage daily work
  • Maintain accurate inventory control of raw materials
  • Intuitive experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Effective problem solving and documentation skills.
  • Detail oriented with good communication skills
  • Effective organizational and time management
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: Associates or Technical Degree. Up to 2 years of Purchasing and Planning experience in a manufacturing environment. Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook). Experience with SAP a preferred.
