Job Summary:

The Acuity Abstractor is responsible for identifying, recording, quantifying and abstracting clinical information from ER medical records and entering them into the coding system.

The Abstractor also enters charges and modifiers into other Revenue Cycle applications as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma required, Associates degree preferred.

2 years job-related experience required.

Medical terminology, data entry/computer skills required and two years job-related experience required.

Experience in spreadsheet applications; solid analytical, data abstraction, and exceptional communication and customer service skills are required.
