Company: Miller Gray (Represented by Luxus Group Recruiting)

Location: Northwest Austin, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $77,000 – $93,500 annually (DOE)
Total Compensation Package: $85,000 – $105,000+ (including benefits and growth opportunities)

About the Role

We are seeking a Civil Engineer Associate (EIT) with 2–5 years of experience in urban stormwater management to join our collaborative and growth-focused team in Northwest Austin. In this role, you’ll contribute to impactful infrastructure projects—many of which directly serve the City of Austin—focused on flood control, drainage systems, and water quality improvements.

This position offers the opportunity to expand your technical skills, gain public sector project exposure, and advance your career while working alongside experienced engineers who are committed to mentorship and professional growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Support stormwater and drainage infrastructure projects for the City of Austin and other public sector clients.

  • Assist in the design and analysis of detention basins, drainage systems, water quality features, and flood control measures.

  • Use HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and other hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools for project analysis.

  • Develop construction documents, drawings, and exhibits using Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ArcMap.

  • Conduct field visits and topographic analysis to inform design solutions.

  • Assist with report preparation, technical documentation, and permitting support.

  • Collaborate across disciplines with engineers and project managers to ensure project delivery.

  • Grow your technical expertise, public sector project experience, and client-facing skills.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).

  • Certification: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required).

  • Experience: 2–5 years in civil engineering with a focus on stormwater, drainage, or water quality projects.

  • Software Skills: Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS; working knowledge of Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ArcMap (preferred).

  • Attributes: Collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to grow.

Why Join Us?

  • Above-market compensation package (10% higher than industry averages).

  • Direct involvement in high-visibility City of Austin public infrastructure projects.

  • Comprehensive benefits including healthcare, retirement plans, PTO, and professional development support.

  • Mentorship and training from senior engineers to accelerate career growth.

  • Hands-on project exposure that builds technical expertise and strengthens your resume.

  • Collaborative and supportive work environment that values innovation and community impact.
