The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor level (without tenure due to funding) in the Section of Electrophysiology. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments and Associate Professor and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that all align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington wioll be commensurate with experience, qualifications and academic rank.
The successful candidate will serve as the Medical Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Harborview Medical Center and will report to the Section Head of Cardiac Electrophysiology and the Division Head of Cardiology of the University of Washington, in collaboration with the Cardiology Service Chief of Harborview Medical Center. Clinical activities will include catheter ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, device implantation, and arrhythmia management. The candidate will practice primarily at Harborview Medical Center with additional clinical and procedural time at the University of Washington Medical Center. The position includes engagement in patient care, scholarship, medical education, and program building. Teaching duties will include attending on the Electrophysiology consult service, didactic lecturing, and instruction in the electrophysiology lab. The anticipated start date will July 1, 2024.
The base salary range for this position will be $16,250-$33,333 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS), moonlighting opportunities, and incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.
