Description
The University of Washington, Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine is recruiting one (1) full-time (1.0 FTE) general cardiologist to be primarily based at the University of Washington Medical Center- Northwest (UWMC-Northwest) in the clinical track at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level. The UWMC-Northwest campus is a UW hospital that offers comprehensive cardiovascular services. This position will hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to patient care with interests in general, noninvasive cardiology. Candidates with subspecialty interests in heart failure, echo and nuclear imaging are encouraged to apply. Anticipated start date will be June 1, 2023.
The base salary range for this position will be $16,250-$33,333 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS), moonlighting opportunities, and incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.
This range is inclusive of base salary provided through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a willingness to grow our highly regarded inpatient and outpatient practice. This position allows individuals to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities that exist for collaboration at the University of Washington, as well as opportunities to be involved in medical education. Applicants must have an MD degree or foreign equivalent and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases, or foreign equivalent. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
