This is for a temporary opportunity, varying schedule for May 2024 to end of August 2024. Travel between clinic sites will be required; mostly based at the clinic in Plymouth with a clinic in Blaine a few times a month. Primarily day hours, Monday - Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient flow and accompany patients to exam/procedure room, assisting, as needed, with walking transfers.
- Measure patient statistics and vitals, including height, weight, and blood pressure. Prepare patient for physical evaluation.
- Record patient medical history.
- Prepare required instruments and equipment for physical examinations. Clean and stock exam/procedure room, including instruments and equipment, between patient visits.
- Assist physician, as needed, with various procedures.
- Manage patient charts to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Monitor all patients ensuring consistency of care continuum and coordination of patient progress ensuring timely re-evaluations.
- Manage Physician’s daily schedules, leveraging templates to achieve goal of less than two weeks to initial evaluation.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for urgent need patients
- Capture, compile and report on patient results and outcomes
- Oversee outcomes data system, patient response, compliance reporting and compilation of data.
- Answer patient phone calls in a timely fashion.
- Provide patient care as ordered by physician.
- Provide patient education pre and post-operatively, as needed.
- Keep clinic supplied, orderly and clean.
- Coordinate the acquisition of appropriate equipment and supplies for clinic.
- Maintain currency in field through continuing education, literature, and seminars.
- Fulfill clerical duties as assigned, including sending and receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab and x-ray reports and completing and sending employer paperwork.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and appointments for further testing, as needed, verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics.
- Order prescription refills, as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Must be knowledgeable of and comply with all confidentiality requirements related to assigned healthcare business activities and management of patient records, including but not limited to compliance and HIPAA regulations.
Must be knowledgeable of and comply with all safety requirements and practices related to assigned responsibilities.
Capable of relating to diverse age, demographic, and cultural backgrounds.
Computer knowledge and ability to work within a variety of software programs.
Knowledge of standard practices in patient documentation.
Knowledge to utilize the appropriate universal precautions and personal protective equipment, as needed.
Superior customer service skills, including good interpersonal skills.
Bi-lingual skills preferred.
