Salary Range: $62,400-$70,720 (DOQ)
The Village of New Glarus (population 2,348) seeks a detail-oriented, professional, and community-minded leader to serve as its next Clerk/Treasurer. This Department Head–level position plays a critical role in managing the Village’s financial operations, official records, licensing, elections, and human resources.
A successful Clerk/Treasurer candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with proven experience in municipal finance, elections, and human resources. Proficiency with accounting systems and technology is required, along with the ability to work collaboratively with Village staff, officials, and residents.

Salary Range: $62,400-$70,720 (DOQ)

Qualifications
• Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience in governmental accounting, election administration, and human resources preferred.
• Wisconsin Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Election Clerk certification within three months of hire.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
