Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping Clerk. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing the shipment of goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers, and maintaining efficient inventory management practices.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and shipping labels.

• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

• Inspect shipments for accuracy, completeness, and any damages.

• Package and label products according to shipping requirements.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory counts.

• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed.

• Resolve any shipping-related issues, such as delays or damaged goods.

• Communicate with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination of shipping activities.

• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using shipping software and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to lift and move heavy packages, if required.
Operates within required systems (MACOLA, Star Ship, and other systems as required to support shipping requirements.
Compliance with Export and Hazardous regulations.
Audits outbound shipments for accuracy.
Flexible Scheduling to support production and shipping requirements.
Ability to coordinate between multiple departments within the organization.
Knowledge and compliance of safety, environmental, and health practices.
Cross Train within the Stores Department to support flexibility
