Job Description
Essential Functions:

- Supervise all Environmental Services (EVS) functions and personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Ensure proper staffing for each shift and maintain quality standards in cleaning and sanitization.
- Manage EVS/Laundry supplies and equipment, including purchasing, inventory, and maintenance within budgetary guidelines.
- Conduct regular resident visits to ensure service quality and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Participate in facility meetings and collaborate with other departments to support overall organizational goals.
- Oversee the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring staff adherence to safety guidelines.
- Investigate workplace incidents, implement corrective actions, and provide necessary retraining.
- Prepare and submit reports to administration or EVS Director as required.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position must provide supervision for all aspects of the Environmental Services Department.
Work Environment:
This position requires lifting, up to fifty pounds (50lbs).
Physical Demands:
The Environmental Services Supervisor stands and walks intermittently throughout the working day, as well as reaches, stoops, bends, lifts, and carries supplies and equipment. The EVS Supervisor must have the ability to work with chemicals/cleaning agents and must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds (50lbs).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include: days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.

Required Education and Experience:
The Environmental Services Supervisor must have a well-rounded prior working knowledge of the EVS/Laundry and Linen industry.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Previous 1-3 years’ experience in Healthcare or Long-Term Care Management is recommended.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- Must be in good mental and physical condition.
- Must possess leadership qualities and be able to supervise and secure the cooperation of the EVS personnel.
- Must be able to work productively with other management personnel.
