The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Anatomic Pathology with experience in digital pathology and artificial intelligence and independent/collaborative research. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology, AP or AP/CP.
Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, fellows and post-doctoral students.
Clinical responsibilities may include a surgical pathology or cytopathology subspecialty.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of an independent or highly collaborative research program (as PI, Co-PI or Co-I) in the area of digital and computational pathology.
The Vice Chair for Digital and Computational Pathology will directly report to the Department Chair and will oversee the digital pathology initiatives at Penn Medicine. He/She will work closely with the Vice Chair for Research, the Division Director of Anatomic Pathology, the Director of the Division of Diagnostic Innovation and the Directors of Artificial Intelligence to Diagnostics to implement and develop clinical, research and educational programs in Digital and Computational Pathology.
