Who We Are:

The Angell Animal Medical Center (AAMC) in historic Boston, MA is seeking applicants for a Staff Veterinarian- Oncology Hospitalist. Angell has served the greater Boston and scenic New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center for close to a century. Angell is a premier veterinary institution staffed by 42 senior veterinarians, 17 interns, and 11 residents. Angell offers specialty services in pain medicine, acupuncture, anesthesiology, avian and exotic medicine, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care medicine, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, nutrition, medical and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, anatomic and clinical pathology, and surgery. AAMC is a rich educational environment offering weekly on-site continuing education seminars and regular multi-disciplinary specialty rounds attended by M.D. specialists from local prestigious hospitals. AAMC is part of the MSPCA, one of the oldest and most respected humane organizations in the world. Working for a veterinary hospital that clearly delivers on its mission of advancing the health and welfare of animals adds a wonderful dimension to delivering high quality veterinary medicine. Enjoy the diverse culture, arts & entertainment, and sports events in Boston, or spend weekends ocean-side or hiking on scenic mountain trails within a short drive of the city. Our doctors practice in an ~ 80,000 square foot, state-of-the-art hospital containing a critical care unit, blood bank, multiple specialty rooms, 7 surgical suites, full service clinical laboratory, microbiology service, necropsy suite, histopathology laboratory for on-site biopsy evaluation. Our current oncology staff is comprised of two board certified medical oncologists, three oncology technicians, two certified radiation therapists and service secretary. In addition our oncology service prides itself on a close collaborative relationship with our surgery service and the clinical and anatomic pathologist to provide a complete in house service that is very unique in its approach to managing oncology patients.
