The incumbent is a leader within the Supply Chain Business for the North America Region. Responsible for leading the advancement of Supply Chain demand, supply, flow, and projects for the NA region. The successful candidate will spearhead decision support initiatives designed to carry out strategic goals set by the regional commercial team and assure all functions are consulted and aligned. This includes proper demand planning and S&OP responsibilities for the region and partnership with the Global S&OP team. This position supports North America, however, is a part of the Global Supply Chain team with enhanced responsibilities for the Integrity Next Risk Management system. In addition, the position provides operational and executional activities for the Supply Chain Resilience platform and supports conversations with functional supply chain leaders on end-to-end supply chain risk & resilience management using fact- and data-based management tools and strategies.
The role also sustains and improves the capability to successfully identify, prioritize, and mitigate operational risks that may compromise Merz’s reliable product supply, and supports the execution of product and site risk assessments within the risk & resilience management framework. Finally, the position will also play a meaningful role in developing and advancing the roadmap of the Risk, Resilience and Network processes, within the Global Supply Chain framework, and in particular the Supply Continuity platform.
Through the creation of strong informal networks, the incumbent will partner with business stakeholders and cross functional teams to make sure that projects, processes, suppliers, and product demands are aligned. As a supply chain expert and advisor to the region, this position requires a combination of great communication skills, project management experience, and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Planning - Coordinate NA local and regional demand review process as part of Global S&OP process framework in alignment with local and regional functions and financial plans
- Continuously improve forecast quality in close alignment with countries
- Cooperate closely with Global Supply Chain Planning with regards to product lifecycle parameters and intercompany demand
- Inventory Management -Execute governance over NA stock levels to allow for well balanced coverage
- Perform inventory controlling & reporting
- Support countries in MRP master data governance
- Develop instruments & reports to monitor performance and improve supply chain KPIs
- Identify best practices and initiate implementation projects
- Perform regular variance analysis (forecast/allocation vs. actual demand) and funnel findings back into demand planning process in order to gradually reduce maintenance effort
- Logistics network and material flows and develop new concepts for streamlining distribution network
- Establish decision process for compliant network development (e.g. GDP)
- Lead the continuous improvement on people, processes and tools for region while ensuring timely implementation of assigned projects.
- NA Key User for Global S&OP Tool.
- Liaise closely with Global Expansion, Regional Marketing teams / Customer Solutions teams with regards to projects focusing on the objectives of the business and our brands.
- Leads the onboarding phase of product Resilience assessments across direct and indirect materials across the local champion teams and other functions, ensuring product-related and product-agnostic risk inputs are captured in Integrity Next platform in particular supplier related status and actions.
- When needed, partners with product owner teams and adjacent functions in the execution of product risk assessments and in the identification/tracking of risk mitigation activities
- Collaborates with the rest of the team and other adjacent functions to ensure the readiness and execution of the Risk, Resilience & Supply Network roadmap.
- Ensure translating business requirements, in particular owning the data to aid in strategy for risk metrics and simplifying the current landscape while collaborating with cross functional teams.
- Seeks functional input & provide business insights into the development of standards, guidelines, tools, training, and other support materials vital to enable key processes & build capabilities.

Education:
- Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, Engineering, Operations or equivalent. Required
Experience:
- Manager level 4 -10 years of experience in supply chain management / project management / logistics / planning / operations. Required
- Senior Manager level 10+ years of experience in supply chain management / project management / logistics / planning / operations. Required
- MBA Preferred
- Experience with complex and rapidly changing work environment. Required
- Experience in leading teams of subject matter experts. Preferred for Manager level / Required for Senior Manager level
- Supply Chain Certifications : CSCP // CPIM // APICS, etc... Preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Certification. Preferred
