Application Development Consultant

You will work to redefine processes for faster delivery, continuous availability and high quality of data. You will be directly impacting the evolution of this technology and help us shape our cloud strategy and evolution.

In the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery work, this role is engaged in creating and supporting the automation tools for continuous integration as well as creating the channel to send data to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role builds and maintains the tooling that facilitates the rapid build, test, and deploy of changes in our Cloud Delivery Platform. This tooling consists of a continuous integration controller “Team City”, a code storage tool “Gitlab”, a work item management tool “Jira” as well as a host of other supporting technologies: “Ansible”, “Docker”, and integration points into “Kubernetes” and possibly others.

Responsible for the entire lifecycle from planning to development to implementation to operations and optimization and system monitoring.

You will be participating in fast-paced DevOps and SysOps engineering teams with scrum agile processes. Must be open to expanding technical knowledge to be more “t-shaped” in being able to learn, contribute and grow expertise.

Experience and Technical Skills: • We are looking for proven experience designing, developing, testing and deploying solutions to the cloud using technologies such as AWS.

• Experience migrating on-site solutions to cloud based offerings such as Amazon’s AWS.

• Ability to make decisions on problem resolutions in critical down time situations when escalation is impractical.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• At least 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in source code management, environment management and general continuous delivery skill sets

• Preferred experience in areas of Linux, Basic Networking, Application Development Principles, SCM Tooling, CI Tooling, Various DBMS platforms.

• At least 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in source code management, environment

• Experience in Docker, Ansible, Team City, Jira, TFS, Amazon Web Services a plus.

• Project delivery experience using Agile/Scrum
