JOB TITLE: Test Engineer - R24-013

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Verite Group, Inc. has immediate opportunities for junior- through senior-level Test Engineers with software testing and automation experience. Test Engineers will not only be responsible for validating and testing software applications and programming suites, but also extend their test cases and plans to the underlying data pipelines and system architecture components to ensure the full end-to-end ingestion, processing, and output of data sets supported by the system under test. Working closely with development teams, Test Engineers will help incorporate testing into core system design processes to promote a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) framework across the program. Test Engineers will work across product and vendor teams, modeling a “One Team” mindset, to help standardize test approaches and execute unit, regression, and integration testing throughout the entire system life cycle. This is a very dynamic role and a great opportunity for Test Engineers driven by challenging work and motivated by being a part of a larger team improving how our customers develop and deploy information systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Translate functional requirements into test cases
  • Help establish and maintain the required test environment(s) for testing and evaluation
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts and processes
  • Perform regression testing, covering full suite of operational test scenarios for builds and/or images to be delivered to customer
  • Develop detailed test plans, test data, and define test acceptance criteria
  • Author and present test reports; summarizing test results, anomalies, discrepancies, and configuration changes
  • Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements
  • Verify specific action or function of code and demonstrate successfully to customer
  • Assist the software development team in the implementation of automated regression testing

QUALIFICATIONS: -US CITIZEN -SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Active/Current Top Secret-SCI (poly eligible & willing)

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to author automated tests using scripting language
  • Proven ability to work together with teams and personnel of varying backgrounds, skill levels, and from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
  • Identify challenges or constraints within a project and seek to manage them accordingly
  • Experience with functional, verification, regression, and smoke testing
  • Comfortable using command line interface
  • Familiar with integrated development environment (IDE), such as Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, Eclipse, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize scope of work, communicate clearly - both orally and written, and have a consistent track record of delivery

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Robot Framework, Selenium, and related automated test tools
  • Experience in Agile or SAFe Agile
  • Experience testing C#, C++, Ruby, Python, or Java applications
  • Familiarity with Git, Centos Linux, and/or Rocky Linux
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar work product management or issue tracking tool

WORK LOCATION: Dulles, VA

TRAVEL: Occasional travel to local or Continental United States (CONUS) locations may be required to attend technical meetings or developer conferences.
