Our client, a law firm with offices throughout the world, has an immediate need for an experienced Insurance Litigation Attorney, to join our growing team in Garden City.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience with first and third party coverage evaluations and litigations primarily in the context of commercial lines policies (general liability, business owners type policies).
The candidate must have at least 3 years insurance coverage experience and have strong research and writing skills.
Some litigation experience (discovery, depositions, motion practice) is preferred as well as the position will involve both the evaluation of insurance coverage issues and the litigation of insurance coverage disputes.
Trial experience not required but always valued. New York admission a must, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania admission a plus

KEY QUALIFCATIONS:

Exceptional writing and analytical skills
Dedicated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic
Superior organizational and time-management skills
An ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, as well as adversaries and courts
Excellent interpersonal, networking and business development skills
1-4 years of litigation experience; some experience with insurance litigation is a plus but not required
Strong writing and case management skills, direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills
