We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Bloomington, Illinois. This full-time position involves providing speech and language therapy to students in a school setting, helping them overcome challenges and improve their communication skills. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work closely with students who have a variety of communication disorders, as well as collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the overall educational goals of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose students with speech, voice, or language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services and interventions to improve students' speech and language skills.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech therapy with educational objectives.
  • Educate parents and school staff on ways to support the communication skills of students at home and in school.
  • Maintain detailed records of students' therapy sessions and progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on the speech and language goals for students.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Illinois license in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
