Our dedicated Eye Care team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Orthoptists and Nurses, along with Certified Technicians and Assistants, provide next level diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the eye using state of the art technology. Our providers specialize in various ophthalmology and optometry subspecialties including Cornea and Refractive Surgery, Glaucoma, Neuro Ophthalmology, Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and Vitreoretinal Disease. Our all-inclusive approach ensures our present and future patients receive the best outcome possible.
What you will do as an Ophthalmic Trainer:
- Develops curriculum based on current department standards, regulatory requirements, best-practices, and by request of managers and leadership
- Maintains expertise in blended learning principles including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Computer based courses, video learning, self-guided lessons and researches best methods for content delivery
- Individualizes content based on learner needs
- Welcomes new employees and provides education during new employee orientation
- Develops positive plans for successful completion of courses for staff who require additional support
- Designs, evaluates and updates all educational content
- Monitors and makes recommendation to improve program effectiveness
- Provides effective training that assures customer satisfaction with the Ophthalmology Clinics experience
What you will need:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of COT certification (administered by Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience in delivering training or educational content
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare, customer service and/or education related field
