We are looking for a Security Supervisor who is team oriented, can manage several projects, is flexible, and maintains a positive attitude. TaylorMade’s Security Program provides global services and requires an individual who has a strong background in Intellectual Property (IP) protection, investigations, vendor management, and team leadership.
This position will work with multiple business partners to ensure the safety of team members and protection of TaylorMade assets. The individual selected will need to demonstrate continual professionalism, the ability to manage budgets, experience in crisis/emergency management, business continuity, loss prevention, special events, and the ability to mentor team members. Other collaterals of the role will require strong working knowledge of warehouse/facilities management, assist security teams throughout North America, and the ability to develop robust training programs for the entire TaylorMade team regarding safety awareness, threat assessment, and workplace violence.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with the design, implementation, and assessment of a proactive security program which incorporates technology integration, sound judgment, and the current and future needs of TaylorMade
- Develop, implement, and assess a robust Intellectual Property program spanning throughout the North America to ensure physical security of assets and protects company IP.
- Oversight of physical security team, utilizing experience in Loss Prevention methodologies, tactics, and practices.
- Assist in developing TaylorMade’s travel program.
- Provide guidance and supervision of the building emergency action plans, response teams, and associated training
- Manage third party vendors who provide services to TaylorMade assets within North America
- Lead, inspire, develop, and manage a group of security professionals to perform at the highest level. Ensure organizational efficiency through collaboration, trust, respect, training, and development of the internal teams.
- Draft, execute, and assess policies/procedures for all areas surrounding physical security
- Responsible for compliance with security related requirements as outlined in the C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) guidelines and statutes
- Provide oversight on security systems (CCTV, access control)
- Expertise in developing crisis management programs
- Performs other related duties and assignments as assigned/required
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Team oriented, demonstrate the ability to work with internal/external business partners
- Familiarity with corporate policies/practices related to physical security, investigations, loss prevention, guard force operations, and management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to new business requirements
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Expertise in report writing; clear, concise, timeliness, and thoroughness is expected in all admin
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
- Ability to manage direct employees and provide oversight and influence of external vendors and internal partners.
- Working knowledge of new CA state law 553
- Demonstrate ability to hold confidential materials and information
- Demonstrate strong team building and mentoring experience
- Spanish speaking/writing/reading is a plus
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years’ equivalent professional/military experience
- 2+ years’ in a supervisory capacity preferred
- CPP, PSP, ACFE, or CTM preferred
- Ability to obtain a Guard Card from BSIS (within 6 months of taking on the role)
- First Aid/CPR/AED certified; instructor level certified, a plus
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Office, warehouse, and outside environment(s)
- Frequent computer use
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary
- Availability to respond 24/7 for emergency situations
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach
- Ability to travel (10-15%)
TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
