JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a seasoned analytics leader to lead and drive decisions behind Callaway's core Analytics platforms. The Director of Business reporting assumes a strategic role in developing the vision, plan, and execution operating model for Callaway’s Enterprise Data, Business Intelligence, and Analytics. This leader partners with senior business leaders across TCBRANDS to deliver innovative Enterprise Data, Business Intelligence, and Analytics solutions for the organization. Considering internal and external stakeholders, this professional will leverage data to provide a vision for strategic growth, consumer insights, and growth initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new information technologies, particularly in the areas of BI, analytics, and data warehousing.
  • Work with cross departmental team to define metrics, guidelines, and strategies for effective use of data.
  • Work with different business units at the leadership level to align the business and IT.
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of data resources across different business units and global locations.
  • Oversee all business reports, dashboards, and information artifacts.
  • Define Data & Analytics function strategy, opportunity, roadmap, and priorities.
  • Understand current state business strategies and NextGen strategy direction.
  • Understand the capabilities and value propositions of the current product portfolio and roadmap and the resulting Industry opportunities, challenges, and business concerns. 
  • Collaborate with and influence leadership so that your team’s work directly impacts company strategy and direction.
  • Develop deep partnerships with business, and IT teams to deliver on major cross-functional measurements with good data quality.
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, including executives.
  • Experience instilling a culture of ownership, collaboration, and results.
  • Ability to quickly identify an opportunity and recommend possible technical solutions.
  • Impact business by utilizing data-driven insights to drive growth and transformation.
  • Help the team improve with the usage of data engineering best practices.
  • Research and test new tools and technologies

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advanced degree preferred. 
  • Minimum fifteen years of experience in enterprise data management, with a minimum of ten years in business intelligence, analytics, and applied insights using advanced methodologies. Demonstrated experience driving business outcomes required. 
  • Minimum of seven years of management experience required; ten years preferred. 
  • Deep Enterprise Data, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Insights functional expertise and leadership experiences are required across complex, large, data-driven businesses. 
  • Demonstrated experience driving enterprise data, analytics, and insights solution in Cloud-based environments such as Snowflake, SAP, and Azure.
  • Deep knowledge of industry best practices and standards to actively promote the effective and efficient use of Enterprise Data, Business Intelligence solutions to meet management objectives. 
  • Experience integrating Data Science, AI, and ML into business intelligence and analytical insights preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a large-scale change and to function as a positive disruptor that can view opportunities versus barriers required. 
  • Ability to collaborate with senior leaders in both business and technology to anticipate, interpret and challenge thinking when appropriate to align organizational goals and resources. 
  • Proven ability to lead change and build teams. 
  • Proficient verbal and written skills to communicate effectively. 
  • Effective leadership and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Experience leading project teams

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience leveraging data and analytics tools, platforms, and technologies such as SAP Business Objects, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, etc.
