NV5 is actively seeking a passionate professional in Phoenix, AZ to join our team as a Senior Environmental Project Manager, where you will not only oversee and provide technical support for a diverse range of projects, but also serve as an essential part in our client-facing business development efforts.

As an integral member of our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) business unit, you will be at the forefront of shaping our forward-thinking business development initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of persuasive project proposals, demonstrating NV5's services to potential clients.
- Craft compelling narratives and presentations to showcase the company's capabilities.
- Actively participate in forward-thinking business development initiatives to drive the growth and success of NV5 in the Mining and Environmental industry.
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of Mining and Environmental projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion: including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support for various project types, including environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations, remedial designs/remedial actions, and remediation system operation, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities, foster client relationships, and contribute to the company's strategic expansion.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration and efficient communication among team members.
- Ensure project objectives are met and maintain high levels of team performance and motivation.
- Stay current with relevant environmental regulations and guidelines and ensure that all projects adhere to these standards.
- Effectively communicate with clients and regulatory bodies to facilitate compliance and approvals.
- Apply a deep understanding of conceptual site models, contaminant fate and transport concepts, human health and ecological risk assessment, and predictive models for contaminant migration, remediation system performance, and receptor risk.
- Create detailed project reports, technical documents, and presentations that effectively communicate project findings, status, and recommendations.
- Be prepared to travel to project sites and other NV5 offices as needed to support project requirements and ensure the successful execution of projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering, hydrogeology, geology, or related field.
- RG or PE REQUIRED
- 10-15+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proficiency in investigation using various sampling and borehole advancement methods.
- Experience with high-resolution site characterization methods.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients and regulators, manage project budgets and schedules, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of conceptual site models, contaminant fate and transport concepts, human health and ecological risk, as well as models for predicting contaminant migration, remediation system performance, and receptor risk.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and other NV5 offices.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering, hydrogeology, geology, or related field.
- Experience in working with New Mexico Environment Department and New Mexico Department of Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department rules, regulations, and technical guidance in project work.
- Proficiency in GIS, data management, and data visualization software.
