Position Summary :
The Sr. Director of Omnichannel role is responsible for developing and overseeing E-Commerce strategy and operations guiding cross functional adoption of digitally enabled sales initiatives to drive online and offline/ in-store growth. The Sr. Director of Omnichannel will be a leader in the sales organization by developing annual
KPIs and strategies encompassing sales and marketing programming that drives success in every channel that employs e-commerce platforms. In addition to setting strategy, the Director will also assess and propose enhancements to cross functional operations that impacts the effectiveness of Omnichannel Sales. This role
works closely with the Retail Account Teams, Shopper Marketing, Business Development and Digital Marketing.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Champion growth expectations of MEC’s dynamic eCommerce channels: Direct/Amazon and all other Omni-Channel Retailers
  • Identify the data driven KPIs and expectations for MEC’s desired strategy, potential sources of growth for MEC eCommerce business, and implications for internal resources
  • Define the role that marketing, and insights play within day-to-day sales hurdles and digital shelf optimizations
  • Create data-based reporting systems that measure Omnichannel sales growth and impact on the digital customer path to purchase
  • Perform as an internal thought leader and subject matter expert on driving growth via digitally influenced sales channels. Provide regular insights and inspiration to sales leadership as well as executive teams.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture, with a growth mindset, rooted in the expectation that “anything is possible” and that we’re “better together”
  • Articulate activities, resources and capabilities needed to drive eCommerce sales intelligence or growth
  • Assess organizational structure on an ongoing basis to ensure it aligns with the chosen eCommerce strategy
  • Continuously optimize the alignment of sales data, marketing data, and insightful opportunities for individual accounts and/or enterprise-wide
  • Monitor channel and structural dynamics across key customers and partners which might impact our business. i.e the future or RMN and the use of purchase-based data
  • Models exemplary behavior and seeks out opportunities to share information, suggestions and advice
  • Demonstrates ability to synthesize data to accurately assess situations and find actionable solutions
  • Understand the long-term business and financial implications of e-commerce decisions
  • Understands and monitors budget controls on an ongoing basis such as case spending, and travel expenses
  • Ability to assist in developing a sound and profitable e-commerce contracts that fits within our guidelines and selling this contract into the retailer
  • Other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of expertise in E-Commerce roles and Omnichannel business development (e-com sales, market share trends, competitors, distribution channels, customer base, promotion and products). Background in Digital Marketing analytics a strong plus
  • Strong communicative skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Create and implement comprehensive e-commerce sales strategies in accordance with the goals and initiatives of the sales department and management staff.
  • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills, strong experience interpreting data & drawing conclusions
  • Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives Demonstrated track record of sales management achievement
  • Proven knowledge of DSD distributor and retail customer networks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers; ability to collaborate at all levels
  • Excellent at managing time, priorities and expenses
  • Able to work independently while being a team player
  • Proficiency using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with forecasting, Stackline, Nielsen/IRI, and Inventory reports
  • Flexibility to travel as needed

Pay Range: $165,000 - $194,500
