Job Duties

  • Establish the billing format for client approval, prepare billings in conformance with the terms and conditions of the contract, input invoice information into accounting system.
  • Extraction and analysis of project costs across various categories such as labor, materials, and overhead as well as verify accuracy with the Project Management team.
  • Compile backup for billing documents.
  • Assist the Project Management Team with accurate forecasting of estimates and monthly billing accruals based on historical data and other factors.
  • Assist pre-construction team in analysis of historical data to produce accurate estimates for Fee + General Contractor bids.
  • Assist with project audits.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the construction project team(s) and stakeholders.
  • Generate and provide COIs to all clients or other third parties as needed. 
  • Utilize system to track and manage all customer COIs and renewal dates, ensuring timely follow-up for expiring policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Attributes

  • Understanding of Cost Plus and\or Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contracts is a must.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiar with accounting software (Viewpoint experience a plus).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality while maintaining various employment records and other sensitive information for the company.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent).
  • 3-5 years’ experience with the construction industry.
  • Experience working with critical deadlines.

Compensation Range: $75,000 - $85,000
