WHAT WE OFFER

This position will be responsible for:

•Leading the implementation of site capital projects beginning with project scope, budget, procurement, finishing with installation, startup and commissioning

•Leading and participating in the preparation and implementation of the site capital budget, obtaining approvals and ensuring budget adherence, authorization to approve expenditures based on Specialty Films guidelines

•Implementing strategies for maintaining and improving a safe and injury free workplace, high level of housekeeping standards and data integrity

•Leading and participating in health and safety activities at the site providing input for PHAs / HAZOPs / etc. and other site and corporate safety teams and programs

•Responsible for the sustainability, continuous improvement, and/or development of the extrusion and auxiliary equipment in consultation with internal and external resources

•Providing the technology and equipment reliability to achieve the highest quality levels and highest possible effective capacity utilization

•Responsible to monitor daily manufacturing performance and use information to determine and implement corrective actions, PM’s, machine modifications and capital investments, etc.

•Directing the necessary resources and sui technologies to provide information in a timely manner to support business goals and objectives

•Initiating continuous improvement efforts that ensure root cause analysis of known, repetitive processing/maintenance issue’s leading to product non-conformances and machine/infrastructure failure

WHAT YOU OFFER

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred) with minimum 5 years progressive job experience, preferably in the Plastics & Extrusion industry and a manufacturing / maintenance / engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications:

•Graduate degree

•Professional registration and/or certification

•Working knowledge of thermoplastic film extrusion

•Working knowledge of web handling processes

•Working knowledge of computers and proficiency with software applications including: CAD, Solid Works, SAP, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Project

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

•History of handling expense and capital related projects of increasing complexity with identified savings either as a team leader or team member

•Working knowledge of capital approval processes, return on investment/discounted cash flow and multi-year capital budgeting

•Effective communication skills, practices active listening skills, able to communicate openly and effectively, providing timely and relevant feedback to facilitate appropriate actions by self and others

•Relates well with / to people at all levels in the organization and possesses a balanced sensitivity to employee concerns and business needs

•Elicits cooperation and influences others to drive business strategies, goals and objectives

•Develops and leads project teams to ensure timely delivery of results

•Able to lead cross-functional teams as well as function as a peer in a team environment

•Diligent and conscientious worker, self-motivated, self-starter and possessing self-directive capabilities

•Learns quickly when faced with new challenges and problems detailed, analytical and solution driven and be open to changes in a fast-paced environment

•Able to make tough decisions in a timely manner

Candidate Must Have:
