Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Pick and consolidate orders from location areas and prepare them for shipment to customers.
  2. Verify what is preparing to ship matches the customer order.
  3. Make sure all Distribution Center moves are scanned in order to accurately update the locator system.
  4. Take care of product through the use of proper techniques while moving goods throughout the Distribution Center.
  5. Repair any damaged product before shipment to customer.
  6. Use stretch wrap to secure cases to pallet when necessary.
  7. Perform all duties as requested by the supervisor in a safe, efficient and productive manner.

   Requirements

  1. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  2. Forklift certified (may be certified in-house, if necessary).
  3. Constant visual and hearing attention.
  4. Proper footwear (non-skid soles) not open toe or back.
  5. Basic mathematics skills.
  6. Basic verbal and written communication skills with ability to read and write English.
  7. Work within a team of people performing different and/or the same tasks.
  8. Work overtime as assigned.
  9. Sense of safety awareness.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, crouching, bending, reaching above the shoulders, twisting, crawling, and kneeling, as needed.
  2. Physical environment includes noise, heat, cold, dust, dirt, and fumes.
  3. Working in high traffic areas.
