The firm is currently seeking a dynamic, full-time associate attorney who is passionate about serving clients in the practice areas that we handle. The qualified candidate will have 3 to 5 years of elder law experience and is willing to advocate for our clients in the areas of estate planning, guardianship, and estate administration. Must have Admission to the New Jersey State Bar. Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar is helpful, but not necessary.

Duties and responsibilities: 

Prepare comprehensive Estate Plans, to protect and preserve assets, and accomplish client goals

Facilitate Estate Planning and Estate Administration consultations.

Draft Guardianship pleadings

Draft Special Needs Trusts

Handle and manage Medicaid long term care applications

Request fair hearings and draft fair hearing briefs

Address client questions and concerns regarding estate plans

Complete projects or tasks as requested by managing attorney in the time frame allotted

Actively participate in required firm calls and meetings and provide weekly reporting

Attend/participate in business development efforts to include networking events, conduct seminars, write blogs, etc.

Attend CLE and other training events as needed to stay abreast of changes in legal community

Qualifications include:

• Juris Doctorate level degree

• NJ and PA License

• 3 to 5 years Estate and Elder law experience is required

• Skilled at getting information by observing, receiving and/or researching to obtain information from relevant sources

• Skilled in listening and identifying issues and ability to show prospective clients the value our firm

• Demonstrate aptitude for working in sensitive environments requiring a high degree of confidentiality

• Ability to travel to client homes, hospitals, and other locations when required

• Self-managing with the ability to take initiative in problem solving

• Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment

• Must be a proactive team player

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office 365, Google Suite, Time Matters, Interactive Legal (ILS)

• Excellent and strong writing skills
