Job Description
We are searching for a Paralegal to join our client's firm located in Trevose, PA. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.  Hours Monday-Thursday; 8:30am-5:00pm. Friday 8:30am-3:00pm

Salary $60,000K-68,000K BOE


You will provide legal support in all matters pertaining to Elder Law and Estate Administration, i.e. Asset Protection, including but not limited to, completion and submission of surrender, ownership and/or beneficiary forms; Deed transfers in PA and NJ; Estate Administration from Probate to Distribution to heirs; Aid in the execution of Trusts, Wills and Powers of Attorney; heavy client contact; On-site document signings as needed;.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Estate Administration duties, including Probate, preparation and filing the Rev. 1500 and Inventory and preparation of Accounting and Estate Settlement Agreement.
  • Create and update Asset List for team reference.
  • Draft documents using ILS.
  • Assist in the execution of Estate Planning Documents.
  • Complete asset transfer forms, including change of ownership, change of beneficiaries.
  • Assist in Trust Funding, including obtaining Employer Identification Numbers.
  • Prepare Deeds in PA and NJ.
  • Record Deeds with all countries in PA and NJ.
  • Obtain Annuity Quotes; prepare Annuity for signing and submission.
  • Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and other professionals.
  • Draft letters and invoices
Qualifications include:
  • Paralegal degree preferred but not required. Experience can be substituted.
  • Knowledge of estate planning, deeds, trusts, and financial tools.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Time Matters, Interactive Legal (ILS), Lackner
  • Highly refined skills in critical thinking, written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and information monitoring.
  • Ability to tolerate stress
  • Five (5) years estate planning, estate administration, elder law experience in PA and NJ with an emphasis on estate administration
  • PA Notary
