Specialist, Video Editor 

This Is What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with Brand Manager to determine video direction.
  • Ensure that all end products consistently support brand guidelines, the creative brief, and design specifications.
  • Ideate, produce, film, and edit creative and engaging long- and short-form video content.
  • Manage large image and video files, organizing and maintaining library of assets.
  • Manipulate film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
  • Utilize dialog, sound effects, color mixing, music, graphics, and special effects in productions.
  • Keep up to date on the latest industry trends, technology, software and/or equipment that can improve production and quality of their creative work.
  • Ensure efficient, high quality and timely production.
  • Able to work with and solicit feedback from other designers and leadership to continually raise the bar and iterate on feedback.
  • Act as a brand ambassador across the organization. Support Octapharma Plasma’s vision, mission, and purpose.
  • Basic graphic design work as needed, e.g. simple fliers, documents, social post etc.

This Is What It Takes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cinematography, Film Studies, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in video editing or graphic design is required.
  • Professional and extensive video editing and creative experience.
  • Strong understanding of branding and marketing concepts.
  • Previous work experience demonstrating decision-making ability; ability to effectively communicate with and positively influence people; familiarity with fiscal operations, conflict resolution, and customer service.
  • Must have an awareness of and interest in latest digital, social media, and video production trends shaping health and retail industries.
  • Advanced organization, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Incredibly detail-oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong people skills which extend to a diverse group of individuals and demographics.
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premier, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop, (familiarity/proficiency in Illustrator preferred, but not required).
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including SharePoint.
